Inflammation
Instructor: Tracy Pritchard, MS, CNS, LDN
Inflammare / verb (Latin): to excite; to set on fire. Inflammation: the body's natural response to injury or infection; part of the healing process (think bug bites, sore throat, or a sprained ankle). "Silent” or “chronic" inflammation: Houston, we have a problem! Low-grade stimulation of the inflammatory response is a major factor in many chronic degenerative diseases often associated with aging. Resulting chemical changes trigger weight gain and difficulty burning fat, tolerating stress, and regulating appetite, as well as many other non-specific symptoms. Houston, or rather, Tracy Pritchard will help you learn the factors that trigger silent inflammation, its predictors and markers, and, most importantly, simple changes anyone came make to promote an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. 60 minute presentation followed by 30 minute Q&A.
